Yeah, I've known her story for years.

They say she grew up speaking Gaulish, wearing silks, noble blood and all.

But then she picked up a sword,

...and pointed it right back at people like her.

Guess she'd been hating those aristocrats for a long time.

So she walked away.

She joined up with the first rebels
...crossed those snowfields...

She... had a lot of people with her, then.
Most of their names I couldn't even tell you.

That's... when she started to change.
She got mesmerized by the whole idea of sacrifice.

And no one could stop her.

She just kept pushing her beliefs, till there was no turning back.

Maybe she didn't plan on being the sole survivor.

But some say that event did something to her.

She was no longer the warrior who once wanted to set the whole land ablaze.

But still
She ended up with people around her again.

They fought together, won together, sure.
But they also talked about tomorrow.

...about the children.

And when they looked at her
They saw in her something like an old comrade.

That moment
I bet that's when she looked back at her old self.

And maybe she didn't have to burn herself away for one moment of light.

Maybe it meant more spending years building embers that stay.

And then, well, victory. Finally.
The one we all know about.

Some say she went up in that big fire.

Others say there's this silver-haired woman in a northern village

As for me?

Well
I hope it's the latter.
